Installing a Homebase kitchen

Here is an example of a kitchen we built from scratch at Odeon Parade (former cinema conversion) in Isleworth, Middlesex. It's hard to believe but the space shown at these photos is actually the same space! The work involved running water pipes from the bathroom (behind the partition wall) as none were present. All wall, floor units and worktops are from Homebase. The dishwasher and washing machine are integrated (hidden behind the doors to the left from the sink). All appliances have been bought online, with the exception of the fridge which is from Comet. Once the walls have been plastered and painted and the floor laid, the kitchen project took 11 days to complete.

Installing a Homebase kitchen 2

Here is a fairly typical kitchen project. A complete kitchen change including wall replastering and repainting. The last wall unit in the row has been cut to hide the water pipes going in the corner. This project took 12 days to complete.

Installing a Homebase kitchen 3

Here is another Homebase kitchen. As taking pictures is not our top priority, the team was too busy to remember the "before" photos, nevertheless we (and the owners of this kitchen) are very pleased with the "after" result. This project took 10 days to complete.

Installing a B&Q kitchen

Here is a fairly typical example of a new kitchen installation. The kitchen was purchased from B&Q. Apart from furniture assembly we also tidied up the inside of the boiler cupboard by repairing, re-plastering and painting the walls. We also put the tiles on the walls and the floor. This project took 11 days to complete.

Installing a Magnet kitchen

Here is a typical example of a kitchen make-over. All old units and tiles were removed and a brand new kitchen was fitted. Lights were added over the worktop. This project took 10 days to complete.

B&Q kitchen 2

Here we have some dramatic changes involving knocking down a partition wall between a former very narrow kithen and a bedroom creating much bigger, brighter kitchen. A breakfast bar has been installed in the middle dividing the space into the proper kitchen and living/eating area.

B&Q kitchen 3

Here is another B&Q kitchen designed around U shape. Not very large, but very handy. This kitchen took a week to fit including tiles on the walls and floor.

Kitchen plus an extension

Here is a project that involved building an extension before extending the kitchen into it. After removing the old kitchen we converted a former conservatory into a proper cavity wall extension then fitted the new kitchen seamlessly in both the old and the new space. This project took one month to complete.

Renovating existing kitchen

This kitchen in a house to let near Portobello Market was upgraded while keeping the costs down. We added new worktops and a dishwasher, however kept the old wall and floor units. Some missing doors and drawers in the units have been fitted by recycling doors removed from the units which had to go to make room for a dishwasher. We also removed old tiles from walls and put new tiles on the walls and the floor. This project took 7 days to complete.

Installing a Wickes kitchen

Sometimes there is more to do than it seems at first. In this kitchen, in order to fit the kitchen units we had to completely remove the old, unstable wall and rebuild it using modern technologies. Once that was done, the proper kitchen fitting could begin. This project took 14 days to complete.

Installing an IKEA kitchen

This kitchen is rather small and the project involved removing an existing furniture completely and replacing it with a different one, where space would be better utilised. This project took 11 days to complete.

Kitchen in only 4 days

This kitchen fitting project is the fastest one in our portfolio. It took 4 days to fit the furniture, hang the wall units, fit the kitchen hood, fit the worktops, build the side shelves, finish the tops and bottoms of wall units with a trim, tile the walls and fit the ceiling light.

Dustbin sliding shelf

A little clever sliding shelf under the sink allows the dustbin to move out of the cupboard every time the front door is pulled out.
